Elko Speedway is excited to announce that the motocross races will be brought to the infield of the main Elko Speedway race track in 2010! The new motocross course will resemble a super cross arena style course and should provide an interesting yet safe track for motocross riders to compete plus provide an opportunity to promote spectator viewing and build a rider fan base.

Thursday weekly practice will continue at the historical Elko Speedway motocross course starting April 22 through September 23, 2010. Changes to the existing course will be made prior to the practice opener to provide a safer course with lower prices for both race days and practice will be offered to riders at all levels. Season passes will be available for three different age groups.

The 2010 motocross races will be held on six dates in 2010 inside of Elko Speedway’s asphalt track. This arena style course will be developed over the next several months and will remain semi-permanent, with better jumps and lots of character than ever before. The move to the main Elko Speedway facility not only offers more to the racers, but also opens up doors for spectators and fans to enjoy the competition up close.

A schedule of races will be released soon and will include six competitions total. The races will follow a newly developed Elko Speedway points structure, rather than AMA. The incentive will be sizeable purses, less fees and more fun and affordable racing.
