Thunderstruck 93, set for September 20, 2025, at Elko Speedway, is one of the season’s most anticipated short-track racing events. The evening kicks off with qualifying at 6:00 p.m., followed by racing at 6:50 p.m., giving fans an action-packed night under the lights. This year’s event will feature the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour, a premier pavement super late model series that brings some of the nation’s top drivers together for high-speed, door-to-door competition. Known for its mix of raw horsepower, close-quarters racing, and a passionate fan base, the ASA STARS National Tour promises an unforgettable show for both die-hard racing enthusiasts and first-time visitors alike.
The ASA STARS National Tour was born from a desire to revive the spirit of the original ASA National Tour, which ended in the early 2000s. Track Enterprises, led by Bob Sargent, spearheaded this revival by uniting major regional tours — the CRA Super Series, Southern Super Series, and ARCA Midwest Tour — under one national banner. Since 2023, this series has delivered a consistent, high-profile platform for super late model racing, drawing elite drivers from across the country. Thunderstruck 93 at Elko Speedway is more than just another race; it’s a showcase of the best pavement short-track talent in America, backed by a rich history and a bold vision for the sport’s future.
